Pier 32
Vancouver, British Columbia
This 18,000 sq. ft. waterfront restaurant and office building was
renovated from an old wire rope warehouse as part of the Granville
Island rehabilitation project in Vancouver's False Creek district. An
affiliate of the Granisle group acted as General Partner in assembling
the equity capital for acquisition and development, and supervised the
construction.
Tourigny Hall & Associates, Ltd., commercial realtors, an affiliate
of the Granisle Group, maintained their offices on the third floor of
the building from 1976 to 1988 and had responsibility for leasing and
property management on behalf of the partnership. The property was sold
in 1988 as a result of which the investors realized a return on invested
capital, including prior distributions, of approximately 23% per annum
during the holding period.
